-- In Conclusion --

So I found out recently that they called BS on the so called Bigfoot Body. Now I would believe it was a fake if three main factors had been involved. 1.They had shown the body that is supposedly a costume. 2. They Explained how they took pictures(of it's teeth tongue and even organs) and DNA of the animal and 3.They explain how someone could mistakenly be able to say it's over 500 pounds 7 feet tall and why it took soooo long to figure out it was a costume to begin with?? Hmmm. Im just saying, It's not sounding right to me,lol. But hey we'll probably never know the whole story. Even if it's allot more than they're saying....

PEPFAR Passes 80-16

Three's a charm! July 16th, 2008 at 7:28 pm | posted by Virginia Simmons on http://www.one.org. After weeks of ONE Campaign members relentlessly writing and calling their senators, and great work by so many partner organizations, we’ve successfully unstuck billions of dollars in AIDS, TB and malaria funding tonight! We dodged several potentially devastating amendments over the last 2 days - pieces of legislation that would have put millions of lives at risk. We did lose one amendment-fight, however, so the total funding for PEPFAR for the next five years will now be $48 billion, instead of the original $50 billion. After tonight’s successful Senate vote, the bill will go back to the House and then onto the president to sign. We are hopeful those processes will be swift. Given how much we had to fight to reauthorize this bill this year- this is a great victory for us. Thank you to everyone who contacted their members of Congress to pass PEPFAR. Literally, millions of lives will be saved with this funding.Below, a quote from our Legislative Director Tom Hart:

“
Even as Americans face serious concerns at home, the Senate has proved America’s commitment to providing lifesaving medicines to the world’s most vulnerable people. PEPFAR is an investment in people around the world; but it is also an example of America’s generosity and a critical piece of American diplomacy. By treating and preventing disease and saving lives, we can help to create more stable communities and a more secure future for Americans. Senators Biden, Lugar and Reid are true heroes for their persistence and patience in passing this bill. This legislation received strong support from co-sponsoring Senators on both sides of the aisle, including both Presidential candidates.
”

After the jump find all the proposed amendments, their results, and those who voted for and against this bill.

Help Fight AIDS, Malaria And TB

Hello again, yes two blogs in one day. I've just signed a petition asking my senators to co-sponsor the re-authorization of PEPFAR, America's response to the emergency of global AIDS, malaria and TB. ONE is trying to get fifty senators to co-sponsor this lifesaving legislation. You can help by adding your voice. http://www.one.org/pepfarsenate. ONE is a new effort by Americans to rally Americans - one by one. So far, over two million have joined ONE in support of a historic pact for compassion and justice to help the poorest people of the world.Together as ONE we can make a difference!

Thanks!

- What?- Bigfoot? - El Chubracabra? -

OK I know you may be scratching your head when you look at the picture to your left, lol. Don't worry; I was too! But what you are looking at is the body of an unknown animal that just maybe the creature known as Bigfoot. In August 2008, two hikers, Rick Dyer and Matthew Whitton, claimed that they had discovered the body of a deceased Sasquatch in a forest in northern Georgia. Dyer and Whitton contacted Tom Biscardi, a long-time Bigfoot enthusiast, to look at the body. One sample of genetic material, supposedly from the alleged remains of the Bigfoot, has been shown to contain human DNA and another sample opossum DNA, while a third has been inconclusive for technical reasons. Biscardi claims that the opossum DNA could be attributed the stomach contents of the carcass. This if it is in fact the real deal, will be a huge break through! I'm so excited! Me being a die hard Bigfoot believer, lol. And wait there's more! They also may have found a live El Chupacabra.Chupacabra (also Chupacabras /tʃupa'kabɾas/, from Spanish chupar: to suck, cabra: goat; goat sucker) is a legendary cryptid rumored to inhabit parts of the Americas. It is associated more recently with sightings of an allegedly unknown animal in Puerto Rico (where these sightings were first reported), Mexico, and the United States, especially in the latter's Latin American communities.[1] The name comes from the animal's reported habit of attacking and drinking the blood of livestock, especially goats. Physical descriptions of the creature vary. All though they haven't caught it alive the have captured one on video as well as a few corpses of the weird animal. Wow! 2008 is full of discoveries.

-- Good Morning --

hello again:)Yes it's been a moment since I last stopped by. Been pretty busy doing just about nothing, lol. Life's kinda sucking right now. I am very thankful to see a new day. And appreciating life allot more. BUT it's not going the way I'd like it. Some major updates since I last blogged; One of my favorite actors has passed away August 9th 2008. Bernie Mac. My oh my; say it isn't so, and if that wasn't shocking enough, Isaac Hayes died the next day. Wow. Life is simply not promised, and it's scares me at times. I try to live by my saying.... Don't live in fear of death but in love of life. Because death is inevitable. But I must admit I'm still afraid of it. I just hope in my time here that I accomplish all that I dream to accomplish. That I conquer my greatest fears and touch many lives in a positive way. I have so much time on my hands right now and not much to do with it. I'm feeling very anxious, tired but wide awake. I've been constantly looking for a job, so many bills to pay with no income. I've had better days. I try my best to be optimistic, but it's getting harder everyday. I can't wait for the elections. As many people may be doing I am voting for OBAMA! I want to see change and I truly believe he's more than capable of giving this country just that. The elections have brought out allot of racism & hate and it saddens me to know how far we've come and how many people still live in ignorance. I hope things get better. That's all I have left is hope. And faith in God that everything I go through happens for a reason. Though I may not understand it now, I know God knows what he's doing. So all I can do is be patient. -Yawning-- I'm very tired so I'll get back to my blogging when I get up:) It's like after 4am so I guess I should hit the hay. Sweet dreams & gum drops....

Are You A Felon? Read This.

So many people are asking.... Does any companies/ businesses hire people with felonies in Columbus, Ohio or for that matter anywhere. Here's one outspoken anonymous person's answer I found on wiki.answers.com....The answer is no. Once you check that box "Ever been convicted of a felony" yes, you might as well just tear it up. I have a felony from over ten years ago...recently I had worked for local retailer...and they liked my work so much they paid for management training and I was due to run my own store in a few weeks, but since I had marked no on my "felony" question (just so I could get in the door to put food on the table). So right before promotion time I told them about it, and only a month after that they decided to fire me for not telling them about the felony when I first applied. Despite how wonderful they thought my performance was, despite that I had proven I could be trusted with bank deposits, crew management ..running their stores...they said policy was policy. According to them, Had I told them up front about the felony everything would have been ok...bs! So if you don't confess the felony upfront you will be fired, if you tell them about it up front you wont be hired...so what do you do?
So I tried to do the right thing, I was up front with every application, yes I have a felony...10 years ago blah blah and after 60 applications and 40 interviews in Columbus Ohio and surrounding areas...nothing! Every interview is the same, they look nervous and cant wait to get you out the door. Always with the excuse "its policy" .
The Government is the worst to try to get a job, not only will they not hire you, they will not cover companies with bond that do (example insurance sales..United Insurance Group...even though I would pay for my own training and license and work as an independent contractor..they cant hire me because some of the insurance they sell is Government based..
So..Here I sit as the bills continue to pile up and wonder what I'm supposed to do next...Yes I made a mistake..a stupid young kid mistake...fine, I paid for it with time and restitution...I PAID MY DEBT, and yet I still am being punished. I don't want pity I just want a job..that simple. So what am I supposed to do? How did I get Rehabilitated? I'm worse off now then ever! Heck I'm screwed really, I won't go sell drugs or anything else stupid because I don't want that kind of life, I really don't. However I really understand why people go back to that...sure its wrong but if you need food and nobody will give you a job...? I just want to work. Its funny how people say how they want crime and such to go down, but then when people get out and are ready to prove they can be productive in society..they get nothing but stereotypical responses.
Columbus Ohio, is not a convicted felony friendly city, nor are most nowadays..regardless of their claims, once you get out of prison, you are on your own, and you have to survive somehow...question is how?
One thing to note is, the prison population continues to skyrocket..its crazy and out of control, the cost is outrageous to house an inmate and due to state funds being cut, guess what? allot of these people are being released...what good is prison rehabilitation if you never get the chance to prove it? All I can say is they need help, and if cities like Columbus Ohio don't help their own citizens get jobs then they will do what they have to do to survive, I have seen some of these guys and you don't want them running around in your neighborhood pissed off with no job. Its a stupid system and makes no sense to me.
Once you are convicted of just one felony, you have really limited your options for future employment in anywhere, especially Cowardlumbus.-Anonymous

I hope things change because realistically the way for change is second chances. If anyone has any information concerning jobs for those who have made mistakes. Please post them, get the word out! Because the fact is everyone deserves a second chance.

Venting.

If there was one thing I could name that irritates me most besides being lied to, I would have to say being underestimated. I have been underestimated for as longs as I can remember. I don't feel like anyone can honestly believe in me as much as I believe In myself. I've been through so much and people would be surprised if the knew what goes on in my mind. Telling you still wouldn't make you understand 100%. The only way someone could understand is if they actually have gone through the same thing. I've gotten so use to underestimation that I expect it from everyone I meet now. It hurts to know people put a limit on what they think you can do. And yeah most people will say "Well I'll just prove them all wrong". But the truth is it gets tiring and quite nerve racking. Especially when it turns out I usually know what I'm talking about, yet I get no sort of credit. It goes right back out their head and it's back to the same ol' crap. I am struggling to find the person I once was. Hidden within the very depths of my soul. Too insecure to come back out, to shine, to be heard. I've become someone I don't know anymore. I've let it get to me so much that I've started underestimating myself. All the god given talents I was born with, I second guess myself, I give up easily. I'm afraid to even take risks anymore. I don't trust in myself and it hurts to know it's so hard to stop. I feel lost in myself. My mind is full of anxiety and stress. It's like a hopeless feeling. That's how i feel right now, like i don't know. I getting hungry I'll write more later.
To be continued.....
