My Opinion.

Ok. One of my many myspace friends brought up a subject of being tired of people obsessing over trends that are no longer in style or that are over. HERE'S WHAT SHE SAID.......

Why do people CLING to old trends?

Get a clue and get over:-Hello Kitty-Gloomy Bear-Long poorly done extensions-Brass knuckles -Bats-Gore-Really poorly done trains run by not cute kids-Friend adders and things like Friendstorm-Contest sites-The following things in your name [massacre, gore, brutal, core, kannibal, hollywood, suicide, etc] unless you've had that name forever and you're WELL KNOWN because of it-Pictures with lollipops/balloons/fingers in the shape of peace signs/kissy lips [unless they're old pictures that you've had up for months]-Putting your friend count in your name-Names full of groups that no ones ever even heard of-OVER Photoshopping yourself-Bring Me The Horizon/Oli Sykes [not necessarily listening to them, but the obsession with them]-Bandannas around the neck/leg......
Ok I respect her opinion very much an understand where she's coming from, BUT.... I say to everyone; Be yourself. If you like something, it doesn't matter what anyone says. You don't have to follow trends and you don't have to stop liking something just because a majority of others did. When it comes to these names, bands, graphics, trains, whoring, whatever...... Do what you want with YOUR space. Get friends how YOU want to get friends, take and photoshop pictures how YOU want your pictures. It's that simple. I mean you have nothing to prove to anyone on myspace. People will talk, good or bad. No need to judge anyone because of what you may not like, especially something non-serious. You don't have to visit anyone's page if you don't want to. You don't have to look at someones graphics or whore or listen to the music others listen to. Hit the x and go about your day. Stop all the hate people. If people want to photoshop their pictures who's to say their doing it too much? Is it your pictures? Do you know them personally? Does their decision hurt you physically in any way? What do you think photoshop is for? Everyone is not alike, if that were the case everyone would be clones, lol. Be yourself. Like what you like, be who you are, have fun and keep it moving. Everyone has copied off of someone at least once in their life, realistically everyone has things about themselves that some people might not like. But it only matters if you make it matter. So to everyone do you and do it well! And as long as you like it, it's all that matters:)
